Wolverine and the X-Men è una serie a cartoni animati basata sul fumetto della Marvel Comics incentrato sugli X-Men. La serie è stata prodotta dai Marvel Studios. In Italia la serie è andata in onda sul canale Rai Gulp.

Wolverine deve rimettere in sesto il team degli X-Men dopo la scomparsa di Jean Grey e del Professor Xavier, sfruttando le sue doti di leader.
Ad affiancare Wolverine ci sono Ciclope, Bestia, Tempesta, Kitty Pryde, Emma Frost, Nightcrawler, Angelo, Colosso, Uomo Ghiaccio, Rogue, Polaris, Jubilee, Dazzler, Psylocke, Pyro e Gambit.
Tra i nemici, invece, spiccano Magneto, il Fenomeno, Sabretooth, Mystica, Toad, Blob, Scarlet e Quicksilver. Tra le apparizioni speciali invece ci sono il Senatore Kelly, John Wraith e Hulk.
In seguito si scoprirà che il professor Xavier, caduto in coma, ha ripreso i sensi vent'anni nel futuro, in una realtà in cui le Sentinelle hanno preso il controllo del mondo a seguito della divisione degli X-Men e dello scoppio di una guerra fra mutanti e umani. Comunicando con Cerebro attraverso lo spazio-tempo Xavier riesce ad aiutare i suoi pupilli a fermare la guerra, ma un nuovo e terribile futuro ne prende il posto: l'era di Apocalisse.

Wolverine and the X-Men is an American cartoon series by Marvel Animation. It is the fourth animated adaptation of the X-Men characters, the other three being Pryde of the X-Men, X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men: Evolution.

The story begins with a sudden explosion at the Xavier mansion which was initially perceived among the X-Men to be an attempted attack by an unknown assailant, targeted at telepaths, particularly involving Professor Charles Xavier and Jean Grey, who consequently go missing in the immediate aftermath. The resulting trauma caused the X-Men team to disband and go their separate ways, leaving Xavier's once highly revered league of mutant peace preservers out of commission. Due to the heavy losses of the Professor, Jean, and the Mansion, many of the X-Men have withered in their faith towards the stability of their former team and have since detached themselves from their former community.
