Synopsis:
[SIZE=3]Anti Terrorist Officer Daanish Ali (Farhan Akhtar) loses his daughter who is killed in a terrorist ambush. He kills the terrorist, but falls foul of his superiors who wanted to capture him alive. His wife leaves him and just as he is contemplating suicide, he is befriended by Pandit Onkar Nath Dhar (Amitabh Bachhan). The old physically challenged chess player teaches Daanish how to play chess and through their interactions, the ATS officer again starts pursuing a case. Pandit Dhar slowly brings Daanish and his wife Ruhana (Aditi rao Hydari) towards reconciliation, when he is attacked too.

Behind all this and more is a mysterious and menacing figure Wazir. Who is this Wazir? the process of finding it out is the story of wazir...

Comments:
For a change a thriller of a movie with a real story behind it! And because there is a well thought out story, the suspense is kept up to the last. The action to moves swiftly and it is a pleasure to sit through the movie.

there are flaws of course. Director Bejoy Nambiar brings a lot of elements that do not add to the story. Overall the film seems to long and editing a little lax. nevertheless, the lead actors, amitabh bachchan and Farhan Akhtar do well and make the film believable. There are some beautiful picturisation of Kashmir and on the whole this is an above average movie.

The movie may be above average, but the DVD certainly was not. The pictures were flat and without depth. The colours hidden by an yellow tint and when we first saw the DVD, we knew that there was a lot of work to do. Take a look at what we have achieved. The pictures have depth, the colours have been brought out and details enhanced.

On top of it this rip has the 10-bit compressibility. The magic of x265, allowed us to compress the video to just 500 MB and yet maintain full quality.
