Violet (Milla Jovovich) was ooit een mens die in een lab werkte. In het lab is
ze besmet, waardoor ze in een hemafaag is veranderd: een soort vampier die op
termijn ten dode is opgeschreven als het tegengif niet wordt gevonden. Door het
virus dat ze op liep verloor ze haar ongeboren kind. Ze weet te ontsnappen en
belandt in het verzet van de hemafagen. De Kardinaal die de wereld bestuurt,
probeert alle hemafagen uit te roeien. Als huurmoordenaar krijgt Violet de
opdracht om een koffer met het ultieme wapen van de Kardinaal te stelen. Daarin
blijkt een 9-jarig jongetje te zitten. De Kardinaal heeft dan echt een probleem,
want haar moederinstincten komen weer tot leven.

infected, making them a hemafaag has changed: a sort of vampire which term is
doomed if the antidote is not found. The virus that she ran she lost her unborn
child. She escapes and ends up in the resistance of the hematite phages. The
Cardinal who governs the world, trying to eradicate all hema phages. As assassin
Violet gets the assignment to a case with the ultimate weapon of the Cardinal to
steal. It shows a 9-year old boy to sit. The Cardinal has a real problem,
because her mother instincts come back to life.
