The Secret Circle è una serie televisiva statunitense di genere fantasy creata da Kevin Williamson e Andrew Miller, che ha debuttato il 15 settembre 2011 sul network The CW. In Italia ha debuttato sul canale pay Mya il 7 giugno 2012.
È ispirata all'omonima serie di libri di Lisa Jane Smith, dal titolo italiano I diari delle streghe. La serie ha per protagonista Cassie Blake, una giovane strega che si trasferisce nella città natale della madre Amelia dopo la morte di quest'ultima. Entra a fare parte di un circolo di streghe e si innamora di Adam Conant. Con il tempo diventa la strega più potente e scopre di possedere la magia nera, ereditata dal padre John Blackwell.

The Secret Circle was an American supernatural teen drama based on the book series of the same name written by L. J. Smith.[1] Set in the fictional town of Chance Harbor, Washington, the series focuses on Cassie Blake (Britt Robertson) who, after moving to Chance Harbor, discovers that she is a hereditary witch and soon after joins a secret coven of five others. The series was developed by Andrew Miller and was picked up on May 17, 2011 by The CW Television Network. On October 12, 2011, The CW ordered a full first season of the series, of 22 episodes.
On May 11, 2012 the CW cancelled the series despite it being the network's third highest performer and highest rated freshman series of the season. Many cited the ratings decline in the second half of the season and the expensive cost of special effects and dramatic locations for the show's cancellation
Warner Brothers Television had initially entered talks with ABC Family about picking up the show for a second season, but budgetary concerns and an already full development slate at ABC Family prevented the show from being picked up
