Looking The Banner Saga on Metacritic, it certainly can not remain indifferent to Metascore of 80 of which can enjoy the trouble of Stoic Studio. The independent team founded by three former employees BioWare has certainly deserved all the fine words on his debut in 2014 to today, including those contained in our review where we had considered one of the strategic shift to more interesting the last two years. On this platform we have therefore conducted our testing of this new adventure.
Before going inside of The Banner Saga 2, we feel obliged to warn anyone reading this review without having played the first chapter. The conception of sequels that we nowadays is not in fact applicable to the case of The Banner Saga 2, deeply attached to its predecessor so that could very well be part of a publication episodic Telltale Games in style. We say this because talking about The Banner Saga 2 without calling nothing in the preceding chapter becomes rather difficult (eye so the spoilers), but mainly because the developers themselves prove to imply the need to have already played the first The Banner Saga before approaching this new chapter. As in the past, the map of the game takes on more of a descriptive function for names and places, which like other elements of The Banner Saga draw mainly from Nordic mythology. Again it is a shame not to be able to further explore the various areas, although compared to the first episode in this second chapter we find ourselves visiting most diverse areas: between old magical forests, claustrophobic caves and ever-present mountain landscapes, the monotony is a bit 'more away.
