U centru priče je Vladan Simonović, u Srbiji omražen zbog bogatstva koje je stekao tokom raspada Jugoslavije 90-ih godina prošlog veka. Ako je ranije iz senke mogao da upravlja svojom kompanijom, a donekle i privredom cele zemlje, političari na vlasti sada ga po potrebi stavljaju na svojevrsni stub srama, koristeći ga za jačanje svog političkog autoriteta.

Istovremeno, isti političari sarađuju sa Simonovićevom konkurencijom i planiraju da sebe ili ljude iz svog najbližeg okruženja pretvore u novu klasu njima besgovorno lojalnih tajkuna, sa prividno čistom prošlošću. Stoga pokušaj atentata na Simonovića neće od njega načiniti žrtvu u očima političara i medija pod njihovom kontrolom.

Taj napad samo će ga učiniti još više izolovanim i ranjivijim, pa će i istragu o atentatu morati da vodi sam. On je progonjen čovek prisiljen na drastične mere radi očuvanja sebe i svoje kompanije. Pored javnih i tajnih neprijatelja, on je sukobljen i sa sinom, ali i ostatkom porodice, koju na okupu u stvari održava njegovo bogatstvo.

At the heart of the story is Vladan Simonovic, hated in Serbia for the wealth he gained during the breakup of Yugoslavia in the 1990s. If before he could run his company out of the shadows and, to some extent, the entire country's economy, politicians in power now put him on a kind of pillar of shame, using it to strengthen his political authority.

At the same time, the same politicians are cooperating with Simonovic's competition and plan to transform themselves or people from their immediate surroundings into a new class of irresponsibly loyal tycoons, with an apparently pure past. Therefore, an attempt to assassinate Simonovic will not make him a victim in the eyes of politicians and the media under their control.

This attack will only make him more isolated and vulnerable, and he will have to conduct the investigation into the assassination himself. He is a persecuted man forced to take drastic measures to preserve himself and his company. In addition to public and secret enemies, he is also at odds with his son and the rest of the family, which, in fact, is maintained by his wealth.
