Summary:

Remastered, re-cut, re-imagined, remarkable! (keep in mind this is considered by some to be nothing more than censorship, removing the best lines and the only nudity, actually making runtime less, compare the Uncut to Final Cut and make up your own mind). The thrilling pilot episode of television's longest-running sci-fi series. An alien similar to Ra appears out of the Stargate, killing five soldiers and kidnapping another, a year after the original Stargate mission. A new team is assembled, including some old members, and they go in search of the missing soldier in order to find out how Ra could still be alive. Meanwhile, the alien Gou'ald kidnap Sha're and Skaara, implanting them with symbiotes and making them Gou'ald hosts.

Di solito quando si dice che una serie TV finisce è perchè è vero, ma a quanto pare sembra che questo non valga per i milioni di fan di Stargate SG-1 che non ne hanno mai abbastanza di quello che è stato ufficialmente dichiarato essere il telefilm più lungo della storia! E la stessa regola vale per i creatori, gli attori, il cast tecnico e tutti coloro che rendono possibile la realizzazione della serie americano-canadese.

Si tratta della Final Cut dell’episodio pilota della serie: Children Of The Gods. E' un vero e proprio rifacimento che ha coinvolto gli effetti speciali, le musiche (appositamente ricomposte da Joel Goldsmith), il montaggio e le scene non incluse nella versione originale. Brad Wright, creatore del telefilm di successo, ha lavorato assiduamente al fianco dell’editor Brad Rines per presentare questo sogno nel cassetto.
