Episode 1
Timid teacher Ian Telford joins the stag weekend of his brother-in-law Johnners and several of his obnoxious friends, as they embark on a deer-stalking adventure in the remote Scottish Highlands, organised by best man Ledge. But it's not long before the hunters become the prey, and their friendship is tested to the limit in a ruthless battle for survival.
Episode 2
The stag weekend from hell continues as the ever-diminishing group of friends are joined by a suspicious latecomer, who divides loyalties and leads them deeper into danger.
Trapped in the home of their seeming assassin, the stag party are divided over their next move. But a resourceful gatecrasher arrives and offers to lead them to apparent safety, only to divide them further and cause more secrets and blood to be spilled.
Episode 3
The remaining members of the group pull together in an attempt to uncover the identity of their killer and survive the stag weekend from hell.
Ever closer to learning the identity of the killer, the four remaining members of the stag party realise they must make a final stand if they are to survive. But will the killer, and their past, catch up with them before they can figure it all out? And will Ian fulfil his promise to his sister and keep Johnners from a grizzly end?

an explanation of the final scenes:
"Okay, Wendy, played by Reece Shearsmith, is one of the first deaths in Stag. Or we presume so, we find his disembodied legs, with his wallet discovered sticking out of a pocket.
However, in the final episode, when we see a buried upper torso, it is not that of Wendy. It is instead one of the fellows by the snooker table in the pub we saw at the beginning of the show. That could have tipped you off that Wendy may not have been as dead as we thought.
Wendy, while it seems either is a policeman, or is masquerading as one, was the accountant for the investment that all the members of the group, except for Ian played by Jim Howick, were a part of. And as the remaining member of the group – not Johnners, played by Stephen Campbell Moore– stands to claim the whole lot.
He “arrests” Sophie (played by a surprise Ruta Gedmintas) but it appears that they in all likelihood the actual ones in cahoots the whole time, using the arrangement with Sophie and Johnners as cover. We know Wendy is dissatisfied with his life and his marriage – this could be his way out. And maybe Sophie already knows what a conniving fellow Johnners is…"
