Vampire Knight Episode 2 : Zero is shown coughing up blood in the beginning. A Valentine's event is coming to the Cross Academy. The Day Class girls are giving chocolates to Aido, Kain, Ichijou, Kaname, Shiki, and some other vampires. Ruka gets a box from a boy in Yuuki's class. Yuuki buys chocolate for Kaname because she failed in making her own chocolate box. Kaname accepts only Yuuki's chocolate. Later, the night class, excluding Ichijou and Kaname, go to Zero, and attempt to fight. Yuuki saves the day by stepping in. The Night Class decides to leave because they would know it would upset Dorm Leader Kaname if any harm came to Yuuki. Zero and Yuuki begin to show some romantic feelings for each other. Yuuki gives Zero her only chocolate piece that she successfully made. She feeds him the chocolate, and he chews it resentfully. He tells her to leave him alone, and walks out on her. Zero is found with blood tablets. It is predicted that Zero is a vampire.
