40 teams of amateur robot fighting enthusiasts battle it out over a series of rounds in a huge purpose-built arena aiming to become the Robot Wars Champion.

The second episode in the robot fighting series presented by Dara O Briain and Angela Scanlon. In this show, we see the huge axe of Robot Thor driven by Jason, a builder from Northampton, clashing with father-and-son team Will and Ian from Team Shockwave. A consultant cardiologist and his two sons cause a huge upset as their brand new untested robot destroys much of the competition. Judge Sethu Vijayakumar discusses his work with Nasa in creating androids for the mission to Mars. In this episode, the most famous fighting robot in history, Razer, faces up against a host of other fighting robots for the chance to become the Robot Wars champion. Eight teams made up of families and friends from across the country put their homemade robots to the test. The winner at the end of this show will go forward to the grand final. episode 2.
