Ophelia's Dream, a Darkwave and Gothic oriented musical project, has taken a slight detour at sacral music and boy what an excellent job they have done. This interpretation of my favorite sacral composition by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, is faithful to any other I have heard and I have heard at least 5. The dark touch given by Ophelia's Dream characteristic music style gives this interpretation of Stabat Mater a feeling of peace granted by a mysterious and chilling, yet enchanting voice. Pergolesi would be most proud. Buy this CD if you're a Stabat Mater lover or Ophelia's Dream fan.... or both.
