Eila Adams is back at the Adult Video News Show in Las Vegas, talking to former adult star Shy Love about her new endeavors as a director, manager, and author.
Garbage disposal is always a hot-button issue in New York City, but I bet most New Yorkers DIDN'T know they were getting help with their trash from an unexpected source: bugs! A new study found that in Manhattan, ants and other bugs chow down on 2100 pounds of food per year! That's the equivalent of 60,000 hot dogs or 200,000 cookies! Researchers placed food scraps in cages - to keep other animals out - along a 9-mile stretch from southern Manhattan up to Harlem. It turns out the bugs compete with rats and other pests for food and provide a valuable service we hardly knew about!
Whiskey maker Johnnie Walker is teaming up with clothing company Harris Tweed Hebrides to create a so-called "smart fabric" that smells JUST like their popular Black Label brand. JW says it smells of rich malt, golden vanilla, red fruit and dark chocolate tones, just like Black Label. And no, the scent doesn't wear off after a wash or two. A range of products are set to be released early next year, but if you wear one, good luck convincing people you're NOT drunk. "No officer, I swear I haven't been drinking".
Sex sells - even in the education system! FastTrain College in Miami is being accused of hiring strippers to work as admissions officers to recruit male students. The strippers were encouraged to wear revealing clothing to make the school seem extra appealing. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. The school is accused of fraudulently obtaining 35 million dollars in federal funding between 2009 and it's closing in 2012. The former owner of the for-profit school, Alejandro Amor, has been criminally indicted for charges of conspiracy and theft of government money.
Amateur guest anchor Piper visited the studio to audition for us. She demonstrated her newsreading skills with an In Focus look at Jennifer Lawrence, then answered a few questions about herself. She's got some fancy tattoos she talks about, too.
The holidays may be over but we've got one last festive clip we just had to show you! An EPIC remix of Jingle Bells by the creative people at Klick! 134 office sounds made up that very unique and very entertaining rendition!
Get ready for a truly wild ride! Thrillseeker Cody Townsend earned the "Best Line" award at the 15th annual Powder Awards. His run down an Alaskan mountain range was one for the ages, and he equipped himself with a GoPro camera to capture all the action!
Good luck topping THAT one next year! Absolutely INSANE!
Ever heard of Extreme Barbie Jeep Racing? Unless you're from Heflin Alabama, probably not. But it's a real thing, and it's about as stupidly entertaining as you'd expect! So WHAT if it's ridiculous, it's fun to watch!
Here's a free life lesson: if you come across a slide that's been closed to the public, DON'T try to impress your friends by going down it. Spoiler alert: this doesn't end well! Live and learn my friends, live and learn.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is always one of our favorite events of the year, and as many of you know, the 2014 version did NOT disappoint. But it didn't go quite as smoothly as what you saw on TV. Here's the proof.
I'm sure our viewers would agree there's nothing boring about those bloopers! Who knew the Angels were so darn funny?
"A-B-C-D-E" - the first five letters of the alphabet aren't just for super lame computer passwords anymore. It turns out over 300 Americans are actually named "ABCDE"... or AB-si-dee, as it's apparently pronounced. According to the Social Security Administration it's a relatively new trend, with the most of the quirky names coming in 2009. Those poor poor kids.
In San Diego, the bomb squad was called in to investigate a suspicious object near the courthouse in the city's downtown core. Officials cordoned off the area and zeroed in on the package: an egg-shaped piece of aluminum attached to an electrical cord... which turned out to be, a SEX TOY! Needless to say no one has come forward to claim the item.
And a Norwegian underwear company has been DENIED by the US Patent Office because it's brand name is supposedly too vulgar. Boxer-brief company "Comfyballs" didn't have any trouble trademarking their name in Europe and Australia, but it seems American officials are a little less lenient. The brand was fiercely protested by lobby group "One Million Moms", a prominent wing of the American Family Association dedicated to "fighting indecency".
Here are the FIVE games we're looking forward to the most for 2015. Let's begin with Batman: Arkham Knight. Because, well, BATMAN. The fourth game in the Arkham series will take things to the next level. More advanced combat, larger map, crazy realistic graphics and – get ready for this – you get to drive the FRIGGIN BATMOBILE!
Oh yeah, that's the stuff. I've got my Batwoman pajamas laid out already for the summer.
Old-school Nintendo fans are DEFINITELY looking forward to Mario Maker for the Wii U. You can create your very own Mario levels – either in classic 8-bit or in 3D. It's essentially Minecraft Mario!
If you've ever imagined playing a BONECRUSHING level of Mario with winged Piranha plants and towers of Koopa Troopas – Mario Maker will turn it into a reality.
Next up is Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - exclusively for the PS4. Nathan Drake is back for another EPIC Indiana Jones style adventure. And this time, it's PERSONAL.
Yes, that's extremely vague, but come on, spoilers are for n00bs! The Uncharted experience is meant to be enjoyed and savored, like a fine wine – not devoured like a cupcake. Although, cupcakes are pretty great too.
Moving right along, we have Halo 5: Guardians for Xbox One. Get ready to fall in love with Master Chief all over again! I have some bad news for all you space shooter bros out there, though: M.C. has gone M.I.A.!
A multiplayer beta for Guardians is now downloadable for those who bought the Master Chief Collection. Plus, standard and special limited editions are also available to pre-order.
And finally we have Metal Gear Solid Five – The Phantom Pain. It promises to be the most open-world and MASSIVE Metal Gear game to date from Konami. You control Venom Snake – aka Big Boss – as he tracks down the people responsible for destroying his special forces team. Also, he just woke up from a nine-year coma. So, you know, he's a little agitated.
Personally I can't wait for all five of these titles – and expect to see in-depth reviews RIGHT HERE on the Game Spot!
Thanks Kat, lots to look forward to for all you GAMERS this year. And sadly folks, that'll wrap up today's program. So what did you think of Piper? Is she naked News material? We've got some bits that didn't quite make the regular show, including a story from Whitney St. John about using dead spiders to torment an ex boyfriend. Plus Melissa Childs interviews a dog and gets chatty with a Scottish man. And we witness an Ice Bucket Challenge.
