Nabin K Bhattrai, a talented Nepali singer

Nabin K. Bhattrai is noted and admired all over Nepal for his contribution in Nepali music.


Nabin K. Bhattarai is the eldest son of Mr. Kalyan Bhattarai and Mrs. Nirmala Bhattarai. He was born on March 14th, 1974. He began his musical journey when he formed a band named Steel Wheels with his friends after his high school. But because the rest of the band members went abroad, he continued as a solo singer.

He has won the ‘Sajha Smriti Award’ for Best Male Vocalist for two of his songs, first for ‘Preetka Geet’ and then for ‘Aankha Ma Timilai’. He also won Album of the Year Award for ‘Raharai Raharama’. He further won the ‘Shikhar Hits FM Music Award’ for the Best Male Vocal for ‘Saanja Pakha’. His album ‘Avash’ is arguably one of the most popular albums of all time in Nepal’s modern music industry. He has also won several Hits FM Awards.

Some of Nabin K. Bhattarai’s notable hits include ‘Sajha Pakha’, ‘Timilai Ma Dobato Maa’, ‘Timile Herda Kasailai’, ‘Timilai Bhetne’, ‘Chaina Joona’, ‘Yaad Le Timro’ and many others.

When not preoccupied with music related stuff, he loves watching movies, playing video games, flying kites, playing with his pet dog, Mogambo and painting. He is also involved in a lot of charity events and social work. Perhaps it is his tender heart that gave rise to such a heart touching music.
