Love For Lydia is een bruisende Britse dramaserie naar de gelijknamige roman van H.E. Bates. Het verhaal speelt zich af in de Engelse societykringen van de 'roaring twenties'.
Hoofdpersoon Lydia Aspen is een mooi maar nogal verlegen meisje. Dat laatste verandert snel nadat ze een fortuin heeft ge rfd.
Plotseling strijden er meerdere mannen om haar gunsten, en Lydia krijgt er steeds meer plezier in ze allemaal aan het lijntje te houden.
De beginnende schrijver Edward Richardson is de enige die echt van haar houdt. Hij geeft haar zelfs haar eerste zoen. Maar Lydia is geen meisje voor n man.
Richardson moet met lede ogen toezien hoe ze alsmaar verder gaat in haar gevaarlijke spel met andermans emoties.
