Description



This is a remux of the complete season 3 League of Super Evil 2 DVD set. The DVDs were ripped using dvdbackup (with libdvdcss), and were cut and remuxed to Matroska using MKVToolsNix. Extracting the DVD Closed Captions, however, proved difficult, as MKVToolsNix does not support muxing them. In the end, I used VSRip, which has not been updated since 2003, and ended up having to retime some of the subtitles because disc 1's subtitles came out in a different order than the rip, while disc 2 came out fine. I believe this is because there was a mismatch between the ordering of the episodes in the titles versus the program chain, as VSRip ripped the subs by program chain while everything else works by DVD title. Due to an unfortunate bug, the original closed caption tracks (there are 4, but only the first closed caption track seems to do anything)  became a few seconds delayed in the muxing process (seems to be linked to ffmpeg copy codec?). I'm not sure how to remove the closed captions from the video stream.
