Follows Christianne van Wijk’s journey and her quest to find out why we know so little about death, dying and the afterlife. Christianne interviews a wide range of scientists, researchers, out of body experiencers and those who have experienced a near death experience. She also looks into the extensive Tibetan culture around living and dying. The aim of this 4-part documentary series is to show the importance of being more aware of what happens when we die, how we can prepare for our passing and how to navigate the afterlife realms.



We’re looking into what people believe is the reason for reincarnation. Although some believe it to be "a way to learn lessons" and because "it’s fun!", there are others who contend we’re stuck in a loop, a trap. A big question is: why are our memories wiped and do we not remember where we came from? This film strives to highlight multiple viewpoints and ignite an ongoing research journey for the viewer so that when our time comes, we’re as prepared and ready as we can be.



The Great Unknown is a 4-part documentary by Christianne van Wijk, exploring the journey of the afterlife through interviews with Near Death Experiencers, scientists, and philosophers. In Part 3 we delve into the concept of "loosh," the emotional energy that feeds astral entities, and questions divine intervention amidst suffering.
