Difference between the versions:
- Movie (2016-2017) The studio made 3 but the fansubbers cut them into the usual 12.
- TV (2017) The studio cut the movies into 12 and added a cool OP & ED.
The story is supposed to be identical so I'll only batch TV. I hope that they only removed the trailer for the next movie.



My synopsis:
After failing to defeat the Black King who wants to darken everything in the world, the captain of the Volunteer Army is losing hope. But after seeing an orphan child fight with courage, he decides to try again with his help.

My review:
The abrupt start confused me but it gets clearer. At first I thought that the mobile game was lame… but then it turned dark. The righteous captain is tormented by a shadow version of himself, that's more relatable and fascinating than Tales of Zestiria.
