In 1931, at the apex of his career, the Soviet director Sergei Eisenstein in Mexico to shoot a film. Pressed by the Stalinist regime, which would bring it back home as soon as possible, Eisenstein spent the last ten days of his trip in the city of Guanajuato. It will be here, with the complicity of his guidance Palomino Cañedo, who will discover many things about Mexico, but also about their sexuality and identity as an artist.

Nel 1931, al vertice della sua carriera, il regista sovietico Sergei Eisenstein è in Messico per girare un film. Incalzato dal regime stalinista, che vorrebbe richiamarlo in patria quanto prima, Eisenstein passa gli ultimi dieci giorni del suo viaggio nella cittadina di Guanajuato. Sarà qui, con la complicità della sua guida Palomino Cañedo, che scoprirà molte cose sul Messico ma anche sulla propria sessualità e identità di artista.
