Summary:
Vijay and Sunil are tough but kind-hearted burglars who end up at the same place same time on every nightly venture. As a result they get caught and imprisoned. They hate each other for it. On release Vijay finds out about a plot to kidnap a millionaire's (Seth Mathur) son (Bittu) by a underworld boss popularly known as 'Uncle' who calls all his henchmen 'Bhatijas' (nephew). Vijay decides to try it himself. Uncle has a old enemity with the Seth. Due to repeated attempts to kidnap his son, Seth provides elaborate security for Bittu all the time. On advice of a school teacher, he gets his son admitted at a nearby boarding school. Vijay procures fake certificates and joins the boarding school as P.T. Instructor Ram. Meanwhile Sunil gets released from Jail and gets adviced by Uncle to join the boarding school as Music Teacher Lakshman. The rest of the movie is about how Ram and Lakshman try to out-do each other to kidnap the little boy Files

Dhandyadupani and directed by Rakesh Kumar. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Parveen Babi, Shashi Kapoor, Hema Malini, Shreeram Lagoo, Om Prakash and Kader Khan. It flopped at the box office but since then it has been widely regarded as one of the best Bollywood comedy films. Plot Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) and Sunil (Shashi Kapoor) are petty thieves. They don't go well with each other. Their respective boss command them to go to a school where their task is to abduct rich man Seth Mathur (Shreeram Lagoo) son and bring him so as to demand a huge ransom from his father. Vijay and Sunil fake their identity and join the school in the name of Ram and Lakshman respectively. Vijay/Ram is appointed as a Sports Coach while Sunil/Lakshman as a Music Teacher. On their journey towards the task, Vijay/Ram meet Anju (Parveen Babi) and Sunil/Lakshman meet Shalu (Hema Malini). Initially both the ladies unaware of their background and motive, fall in love. Vijay and Sunil get close to Seth Mathur (Shreeram Lagoo) son so as to lure him. But as days pass by, both of them realize their true affection for that boy and drops their plan of abducting him. Meanwhile,Anju and Shalu come to know of their boy friend's true identity and by their words of love and affection change them into good men. Sunil's boss Uncle Jagdish (Kader Khan) loses hope on him and he himself comes up with a plan and abducts the boy.
