Gli Arpioni nascono più di dieci anni fa e vengono immediatamente apprezzati dagli amanti dello ska. Si ripresentano ora, attesissimi, con un nuovo album di diciassette pezzi: quindici originali e due cover, e oltre trenta amici che hanno partecipato alle registrazioni!
C'è il "solito" Tonino Carotone che canta nella title track e in "Una storia disonesta". C'è anche la stimata corista del suddetto, l'affascinante Piluka. Un assolo di tromba e una voce calda per Roy Paci (in "Salsa Obrera" e "Maledetta Thunderbird").
Valerio Mastrandrea che duetta in un simpatico e romanesco inno al vino composto anni fa da Gigi Proietti ("Er tranquillante nostro") e che il gruppo dedica con sentimento a Luigi Veronelli, anarcoenologo e molto più, bergamasco d'adozione e persona di rara sensibilità.
Stefano Rosso, autore di "Una Storia Disonesta", ma anche di una serie di brani che tra la fine degli anni settanta e i primi anni ottanta arrivarono ai vertici delle classifiche ricanta uno dei suoi classici insieme a Kino. Ci sono anche Osvaldo Ardenghi, attore e cabarettista bergamasco, ex metalmeccanico cresciuto alla corte di Enzo Jannacci, il Maestro Matarrese col suo sax ospite di lusso in un pezzo in pieno stile rocksteady, Ricky Capelli che per anni è stato la colonna portante della sezione fiati degli Arpioni ora impegnato con la sua creatura che risponde al nome di Orobians, e molti altri ancora...
Mastro cerimoniere, consigliere e tecnico del suono di rango Alberto "Skizzo" Bonardi che ha lavorato tra gli altri con Fabrizio De André, Mauro Pagani, Daniele Silvestri, PFM, Eros Ramazzotti, Massimo Ranieri.

Le parole come al solito sono importanti e così un'attenzione particolare è dedicata al mondo del lavoro e del precariato. Si parla di amore, dell'Italia e degli italiani, di paure e frustrazioni. La musica è varia, ska e rocksteady certo, ma le digressioni ed i divertimenti abbondano e passano per salsa, calypso, punk e altro ancora...
