lvin, Simon, Theodore en de Chipettes maken een cruise, en zoals gebruikelijk veranderen ze het luxe cruiseschip in hun eigen speeltuin. Totdat ze 'schipbreuk' lijden en op een tropisch eiland belanden. Terwijl Dave Seville op zoek gaat naar zijn vermiste sterren, doen de Munks en de Chipettes waar ze goed in zijn: zingen, dansen en er een bende van maken. Maar op het eiland leeft ook een schipbreukeling, die niets onder doet voor Alvin en de Chipmunks. Samen met hun nieuwe vriendje beleven ze een doldwaas avontuur, vol verrassingen en wijze levenslessen



Storyline

Playing around while aboard a cruise ship, the Chipmunks and Chipettes accidentally go overboard and end up marooned in a tropical paradise. They discover their new turf is not as deserted as it seems.
