Frenzy is a 1972 film directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

Presented out of competition at the closing of the 25th Cannes Film Festival, it is the penultimate film by the director who returned to London, his hometown, to shoot it.
Written by Anthony Shaffer, famous in London and New York for the play Sleuth, based on the novel by Arthur La Bern Goodbye Piccadilly, Farewell Leicester Square. Hitchcock initially offered the screenplay to Vladimir Nabokov, whom he had refused for already made commitments. Frenzy means "delirium, frenzy, madness".
